I don't like it. Certainly, it doesn't seem often used, but it was sort of the trendy new name to use when I was a kid and every Cassidy I've met was conniving. A Cassidy hangs out with Megans and Tiffanys, who are classic teen movie cheerleader types.

As surnames on girls go, I think this is a rare one that isn't bad. It has a feminine ring to it.

I somewhat prefer it for a boy, but it works fine as unisex.

Ugly and a bit silly

It's doesn't turn heads. It's pretty but not beautiful. Perfectly solid name.

It surprises me because I'm not fond of many names of its type, but I like it. Most likely because I love Cass and Cassie.
