Definitely Simon under any and all circumstances. August needs the dignity of a full name to balance its own depth, and Samuel just isn't good enough, let alone stunted Sam.

I much prefr Simon and think that August & Simon would make lovely siblings! (I have a Leo & a Simon)

IMHO, Simon goes better with August for a sibling set. Sam is more of a run-of-the-mill, more frequently used name whereas August and Simon aren't as such. Not as much. I prefer sam a bit more but yeah, simon fits in better.

Simon falls a bit flat for me, not that exciting. Sam I'm slightly crushing on, because I started watching Supernatural haha. I think Sam has more energy that works really well with August (which is awesome, by the way!).
