Claire, Elise or Julianna

Elise or Claire. Both are gorgeous and I hate Julianna.
If you're not into "insanely popular or trendy names," I recommend
starting over with your list. Those names come up really often on this message board, which is a good trend setter/predicter/follower and probably indicates they're going to be everywhere soon. You might not see it now, but wait until your kid hits kindergarten.
Of those I like Claire most. But if I was to come up with less common alternatives I'd suggest:
*Clara (For every twenty Claires on this board, I see maybe one Clara)
*Carol (at least uncommon in younger generations)
*Clarity
*Coralie
*Cordelia
*Elaine
*Edith
*Elodie
*Eidel
*Ellen (It's common but it's popularity doesn't seem to be very high on younger girls)
*Judith
*Justine
*Josephine
*Junia
*Julianne (Only a little different)

Claire seems quite popular on the board, and I know one 6 y.o. Clare, and of the three names you've listed here it's the most common (#98 or so on the SSA's list)...BUT...Elise and Julianna are trendier, if less common, and imo lack the strength and timeless quality of Claire.

PS: my rationale for Elise and Julianna being trendier is as follows- Elise sounds like the elegant French alternative to the insanely popular Ella and Alyssa, as well as a light version of favourite Elizabeth and a subtle way of honouring a Lisa. I've heard this one A LOT around here (i.e. Vancouver, BC). When I first heard it I rather uncharitably wondered if the parents (not you, the specific parents of that young lady) were subconsciously attracted to the name because it's just a phoneme away from elite.
Julianna- Anna is insanely popular (though I love Anne and we're considering that one), and as a suffix it's even more insanely popular- Julian(n)a, Lil(l)iana, Adrian(n)a, Viviana, Gianna, Lian(n)a, Brian(n)a, Tian(n)a...the long and sultry feminine names ending in -ana and -ella are so popular it's not funny!

Yes, I know how lonely life can be.
The shadows follow me and the night won't set me free.
But I don't let the evenings get me down,
As long as you're around me.

I think Claire Margrit would sound good.

These are the popularity charts from the social security web page for the last 25 years. Claire looks like it's still climbing. It was recently used on a oap opera (Days of Our Lives) as a baby's name too, which I think is an indication of it going still higher. I think Julianna and Elise look pretty similar in their rankings. I prefer Julianna myself and would probably go with that one.
