Alexandra has been one of my favorite names for as long as I can remember. It's way too popular for me now, but I still love it. It's elegant and long without being frilly or strange, and it has so many nn options that any girl could carve her own identity out of it.

Alex is my favorite nn. I also like Alexa, Lexa, Lex (not Lexi), and Andie. Fender is really cool. I've known a few Alexandras who have gone by Alex, Lexi, Ali, and Ally. My sister once had a friend named Andi, I wonder if that was short for Alexandra. I also knew an Alejandra who went by Ale (AH-lay).
