Maya is pretty enough, but it's so common here (I live in Australia if that matters), nowadays that I'm getting sick of hearing it.I agree with you that it sounds quite modern even with the history tied to the name. While I don't think it's the most out of place name next to sisters named Edith, Rose and Bess, it's not a name I'd be expecting to hear in the sibset.

I live in Australia and I don't think I've ever met a Maya...how strange! Lots of Mia's running around though.
