Well, there's Megara, I guess. Also Marguerite, but Marguerite is so beautiful I'd hate to see it knocked down to Meg. I just don't like Meg at all, the sound is unattractive, and I agree with a character in an E. L. Doctorow book I once read. The narrator was telling his mother about his new playmate Meg. His mother kind of turned up her nose at the name and he says "Well, her real name's Margaret." And the mother says "Meg is the name for a scullery maid."
