Re: Alice, Eloise, Phebe, & Sylvie
Alice -- My grandmother's name, so I'm biased. I've always thought this was an underrated name and I'm glad to see a renewed interest in it. My grandfather called her Alsie, by the way.
Eloise -- So cute! That little character from the children's books made me love the name. I saw a young
Eloise once and it tickled me so much I still remember her. A very darling name.
Phoebe -- This spelling only. I want to like this name because it fits my style. But I can't shake the "buzzing bee" affect it has on me. Strangely, it's the best mn I've ever found to one of my guilty pleasures:
Ursula Phoebe.
Sylvie -- I fell in love with this name in high school French class. I love that
Sylvie, and to a lesser extent
Sylvia, are catching on. It's so bright and breezy sounding.
