Well, I always approve of family names as mns, and surnames are a very popular choice whether honouring or not, so I'd say, go for it! Rather that than the silly and ephemeral Miley!In several of John le Carre's earlier books there is a wonderful character called George Smiley and mostly referred to by his ln, so if you want a literary reference to back up Great-Grandpa, that's a good one.
