Re: Vincent for a girl

Why is it that every name that all of you tryndee's like for boys has to be given to your daughters? Can't you just wait to have a son to use the masculine names you like? There are thousands of feminine names out there, and even acceptable unisex names. But names like Vincent, Evan, Owen, etc, are MALE names. You wouldn't name your son a girl's name, like Emily, Jennifer or Olivia and you shouldn't name your daughter a boy's name. What's next? William? Dominic? Benjamin? Oh Lord.

Excuse me.
I'm not a tryndee. I choose the name after my favorite poet - Edna St. Vincent Millay - who went by the name. I want to honor the poet, not follow the trends. Futhermore, I am almost always aganist unisex/male names for females, this was a rare exception.
As for giving my son a female name, no, I wouldn't - but I would easily name him Julian or Julius. Vincent is only because of Millay, and I wanted people's opinions on it.

Choose=chose.
