Re: Miles
in reply to a message by Lily
I've met a lot of guys named Miles back in high school (and one Myles) so it is an overly popular name to me personally. I honestly knew way too many (and way too many guys named Zachary [and one Zachariah]). Myles isn't really a creative spelling to me though, it's been used for centuries like Alyson and so on, it's more just an alternate spelling. If I had to pick, I'd probably go for Myles just because I like the look more.

Would you tell me where you live (state or region)? I'm really interested in regional popularity. I always wondered whether it was equally common in most states or really popular in some and hardly used in others (like Caroline).

I am from Connecticut and I graduated high school a few years ago and I can think of knowing six off the top of my head between the grades. I know it's really weird because before that the only Miles I knew was a kid in my brother's middle school class and he's a few years older than me and then I hit high school and they were everywhere. It was just kind of a phenomenon there. I haven't met any more since I've gone to college in Massachusetts.
