Ivor
This might be my new favorite name for a boy, as in my number 1. EYE-vor(ver). All of these rarified dusty gems are suddenly supplanting all of my classics (I could go into the psychological reasons for this, but I doubt you'd find it very interesting). But I am okay with that. Ivor and Felix would be a wonderful set of brothers.Maybe this sibset (I don't have stone-set middle names for the boys or girls)Ivor
Marion Elmira "Myra"
Felix
Hester Jean
Enid Frances
How would you pair Ivor?Ivor Thaddeus?

I love Ivor. A good friend of mine was going to call his son Ivor, and didn't in the end, and he so should have done because said son is an exceptionally nice-looking child who would have suited it marvellously. Ah well.:)
That is a very nice sibset. Ivor Thaddeus works for me; also, Ivor Gilbert, Ivor Ingram, Ivor Julius, Ivor Howard, Ivor Denis, Ivor Gerald, Ivor Henry

Ivor Ingram delights me.:)

I was going to dislike it for my initial stock character Igor (unrelated, I know) impression, but on reflection it is rather more dashing. Ivor Thaddeus is nice. And Enid Frances, oh my!

I quite like Ivor although I'd never use it. It makes me remmeber The Hoobs which I used to watch as a kid that had a character called Iver in it. http://www.channel4.com/learning/microsites/H/hoobs/meet/images/portraits/iver.gifAbsolutely love Ivor Thaddeus!

This is a name that I should love, but I don't for some reason. I am wanting to like it, but there is something off-putting about it to me. Perhaps it is too harsh for my tastes, quite a bit like Conrad. Ivor Conrad. Now there's a combo.

Ivor is awesome. I wish people were using it instead of, say, Ethan. It could seriously stand to be that popular and still not seem ruined. Why isn't it in the top ten. I'm stumped. It's at least as good as Isaac or Evan.I don't think it goes with Felix. It might go with Francis or Elliot. Or, since you seem to be thinking obscure antique - Myron. hehe. I like Myron.
I guess it goes with Marion. I don't think it goes with Hester or Enid.Ivor Thomas, Ivor Darius, Ivor Amadeus, Ivor Conrad, Ivor Henrik

Love!I'd never thought about it until reading How Green was my Valley, which I adored. Because that was how I first got it into my head, I pronounce it EE-vor. I like that pronunciation better too, although EYE-vor is okay. The Ivor combos I came up with that I liked were Ivor Emrys and Ivor Julian. Ivor Thaddeus is nice.

I must say, I prefer your new name loves! They're so much richer. I really like Ivor (albeit not as much as Marion, Hester, and Enid), and I'm glad he's getting dusted off.
