I'm pretty sure that Robert Edward Lee Ewell was the full name of the awful racist white trash attempted child murderer Bob Ewell in "To Kill a Mockingbird". Not my thing, either. I will refrain from going into detail.
I don't like Lyle for a girl, nor do I like it for a boy. Both Lyle and Kyle sound extremely whiney to me. Can't stand either. Maybe I'm influenced by the fact that my husband knew a Kyle in college and really disliked him and stated so several times.
I can't see either Shepard or Zebra as names.

Yeah I agree about Kyle and Lyle. I loathe Kyle with lots of fibers, but Lyle just passes the line enough to become outright comical. Do you hate Ryan too? Ugh, I can't stand long I's.
