Re: Obituaries

Oh, yay. It's looks as though everyone got a good long life. I can turn my attention to the names without feeling guilty. Gorgeous: Amalija, Bosiljka, Magdalena, Mira, Roza, Sava, TerezijaWould these names (any of them from your list) feel out of place on a child born today?

Most are dated, but not horribly weird. The only ones I'd never seen on a younger person (under 30) are Sava and Soka, but then they aren't that common in general.
Some like Vlasta, Dunja and Melita were very popular in my generation and I'm surprised to see them on old women.
The ones I've seen on babies recently are Magdalena and Roza.

That's interesting because I wouldn't be surprised to see Magdalena or Roza (Rosa) on a newborn here in the U.S. The trends extend beyond our own countries' borders. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. But definitely interesting. Thanks!
