Re: Maeve or Maia?

I think that Elodie Maia Delphine sounds much better, even though I prefer Maeve just a tad to Maia.
When I say Elodie in French there isn't an Ay- sound at the beginning. It's still ELL-lo-dee. Ones of those names that sounds almost exactly the same in English and French for me. Maybe it's just differing accents? I'm not from France or Europe.

Possibly.
The family I work for here are Swiss-French and they say El-. I know cause I may have named one of the characters Elodie when Anissa and I made a story book together. I jsut wanted to hear them say it! But the first time I heard the name was skiing in the French alps (on the sweetest little blonde haired blue eyed girl) and they prn. it Ay-. Looovvve it in a French accent.
I would write it with the accent over the E, which makes it into the Ay sound (as in Renee or Cafe). Just not sure how to type the accent on here (plus it doesn't link to them name if I do).
