I feel like Paulina is more "modern," and by that I mean more old-fashioned and more ready to make a comeback. I personally prefer the Russian Polina (pah-LEE-na; unstressed O sounds like A in Russian), but Paulina is nice as well. I think Pauline is still a bit too dated for me. I equate it with names like Shirley and Bernice.
