Rory's a good nn for a tomboyish Aurora or Lorelei (just please, for the love of [higher being/force], don't spell Lorelei Lorelai) imo.
But as a full name, Rory's 100% male to me. What clinches Rory's masculinity to me is that it means "red king", not "red queen".
EDIT: I erased evidence of a stupid brain fart... ;-)

I said, "Please don't spell Lorelei Lorelai." In other words, "Please don't misspell Lorelei as Lorelai (because that's just incorrect and too Gilmore Girls-ish, mkay?)."
