Gwen or Guinevere?
Which do you prefer and why?
Any middle name ideas?
Thank you kindly.

I have this thing against nickname like first names (like Jake on guys)... althought if just 'Gwen' was wanted, I'd stick it in the middle name slot happily (like maybe Phoebe Gwen?)
Combo's/Middle name suggestions
Guinevere Bridget
Guinevere Lorraine
Guinevere Kate
Guinevere Lily
Guinevere Simone
Guinevere Serena
I really have no idea, its kind of hard to pair up, do you like any of my suggestions?

I MUCH prefer Guinevere, it's pretty and Gwen is kinda ugly. I'd name a Guinevere the nickname of Winnie. If I had to use Gwen, I'd choose Gwendolen or maybe Gwyneth (GP). But a Gwendolen of mine would become a Winnie too.
`Gwen.
I've been trying forever to talk my husband into the name. It's short, simple, slightly unexpected yet recognizable. Plus I'm tired of these long names being used just to get the nickname. Like the nickname? Use it.
Gwen Elinor
Gwen Elise
Gwen Eve
Gwen Isadora
Gwen Miriam

Mmm, probably Guinevere, just because it's a prettier name to me. In real life I'd probably go with Gwen though because it's so much more usable.
I really like Gwen, but feel it's too unsubstantial as a full name. Guinevere is absolutely gorgeous. It reminds me of Aruthian legends, I adore the connotations it brings.
Guinevere is very formal and grand, and Gwen is spunky and modern - have the best of both worlds and use Gwen as a nn:) Gwendolen and Gwyneth are other names I find pretty, and would work as a full name for Gwen.

I prefer Guinevere. Just because I don't find the single syllable Gwen very attractive on its own. Also, I believe that it should stay a nickname for Guinevere or Gwendolyn and not used on its own.
It is a name in its own right.
It's always been used on its own - only recently has it been dubbed a nickname.

Guinevere, by a mile. I love it. Gwen is too nicknamey, plus it seems bratty to me. Possibly because of the only one I've ever known.
My combos with it are:
Claire Guinevere
Ebba Guinevere
Eloise Guinevere
Okay, I need to make some with it as a fn.
ETA:
Guinevere Angela
Guinevere Brighid
Guinevere Cate
Guinevere Grace
Guinevere Ivy
Guinevere Kinborough - ooh!
Guinevere Mai (prn. MY, means May in Welsh)
Guinevere Maren
Guinevere Marga
Guinevere Maudelin
Guinevere Meade
Guinevere Moirrey
Guinevere Murron - I like it with M.
Guinevere Nell - awww
Guinevere Nonie - AWWWW
Guinevere Rowena
Guinevere Sorcha
Man, some good stuff!
