Pretty horrible! My DH's grandmother had two cousins called Alie and Malie who, poor women, have been family jokes for decades. But in real life Kalia and Malia, like Alie and Malie, would be funny rather than ... anything else: dignified, beautiful, exotic, whatever.

No and No. I like Kalia, but not Malia. Even if I didn't like Malia I wouldn't like them for siblings. Maybe a pair of cats...
