I think it works equally well for both genders. It doesn't sound especially masculine to me but neither does it sound particularly feminine. So yeah, it definitely works for a boy, but please don't spell it Rylee or Rylie (I know a couple who named their son Baylee) because it makes the name look more feminine.

uhm ok. I never said I liked Rylee, just that you shouldn't use it on a boy bc it looks feminine
