Re: Tanya
1. TAHN-ya
2. Tania. Tonia and Tonya make no sense to me - in my accent Tanya and Tonya have different vowel sounds (but I know they're merged in North American English).
3. I like it. A girl with this name used to babysit me when I was little, and she was awesome. The name reminds me of her.
4. Well the Tania I knew had 4 sisters, so I can't really think outside of that! Anita and Kira lol.

I'm American, originally from the Northeastern U.S., and I pronounce Tanya and Tonya differently.

Oh ok I guess the merger isn't complete everywhere. Is Tanya 'tan-ya' for you, or 'tahn-ya'? I say 'tahn-ya', which is different from 'ton-ya' (Tonya).
