I think Rose is beautiful as a first name. It's very soft and sophisticated, and makes me picture a quite, intelligent, creative, introspective girl with brown hair. I rather like that picture.
I prefer it as a name on its own. For "Rose" names (my favorites are Rosalie and Rosemary), I'd rather use Rosie as a nn. Although I'd use Rosie as a nn for a Rose too.
For siblings I'd imagine other timeless names like Katherine, Elizabeth, William, and Thomas.
Rose Catherine is one of my favorite Rose combos. I'm not logged in so I can't go scan through my PNL, but off the top of my head I think Rose Georgina and Rose Eleanor would be very pretty.
