It's also a video game name.
In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, it's the name of one of the townsfolk. She's this nice young woman who works at an inn. Her sidequest consists of reuniting her with her missing fiance... as the world ends. No, I really doubt anybody else besides me will ever pick up on that, but I just thought I'd throw that backstory out there (because MM is my favorite video game ever, and that story is rather iconic to the game as a whole). That's interesting how it came about! I wonder if the game creators did the same thing or not. I rather like it and the process for Japanizing names.
