Hilda
I'm reading a book at the moment with a character called Hilda (Well, Hilde, but Hilda would work better for me), and it's growing on me.WDYT?I think I prefer it as short for something- I was thinking Alfhild, Audhild or Hildegard(e). Which do you like best, and do you have any combo ideas? I'm enjoying the story of Alfhild quite a lot. :-P

Hmm. It has the overwhelming association of Aunt Hilda from Sabrina the Teenage Witch for me. I don't think I like it overmuch, but I think it could work on a kid, a teenager and an adult so it's a good name and I'd quite like to meet one. I think of the full names you mentioned I like Hildegarde best. There's also Brunhilde, but that kinda cracks me up coz of Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Anyway!Hilda Gertrude (going with the old-fashioned, clunky theme lol)
Hilda Jasmine
Hilda Josephine (I think this is my fave)
Hilda Jamesina
Hilda Henrietta
Hilda Harriet
Hilda Kate
Hilda Irene
Hilda Marian
Hilda Victoria
Hilda FrancescaAnything appeal to you?

ROFL @ Robin Hood: Men in tights. Hehe. Thanks so much, I like heaps of these.Hilda Gertrude LOLz. My heart belongs to Ermintrude though.
Hilda Josephine- This is good, I always feel funny about Josephine for some reason though.
Hilda Jamesina- Heh. Wonder where you got this from?
Hilda Henrietta- I ♥ alliteration.
Hilda Kate- Notsomuch into Kate, but Katherine could work.
Hilda Irene :-D
Hilda Francesca- O i like this.

I like Hilda a lot better than Hilde. Hilda is kind of cool. Not sure if I would use it, though. I dislike all longer forms except for Hildegarde which is cool.
