The association between Damian and the devil is one of my pet peeves. It has a totally different etymology and is the name of various saints, that people take as an absolute truth something from some silly horror flick really bugs me. So yes, I believe it's totally ok to use it.

As for Lucifer and Demon, they're too obviously synonimous with "devil" to be used, it's just asking for trouble.
