To my eye, Emaline looks as though it should be prn EE-mah-lyn / -line (as in "straight line"). I think it's the solitary M. By contrast,
Emmeline, having that double M, seems clearly to be prn EMM-eh-lyn / -line (though I like the former). The E in the middle, as opposed to an A (
Emmaline), gives
Emmeline a French feel (to me, anyway, because of
Emeline, I suppose), which I really like.
