I think it's pretty. Madda-lynn is the way most everybody in the US pronounces it, I've never heard it said your way unless it was by a French person or something.I'm not fond of Maddie, it's right up there with Katie, Allie, Ellie, Emmie and Lexie as a cutesy nickname that you hear every day.

Really? It's always mad-ah-line here. It's rare that I hear ait the other way. As I said before, I wouldn't call her Maddie, but I have no control over what my family will call her. My nephew is called Ikey, for pete's sake!

Ikey?! lol (m0That is pretty funny. Do the other kids change that to icky? lolThe only time I've heard madda-Line is in connection with the Madeleine books, and that's so the rhymes will scan. lol
