I like it a lot. It used to be in my top ten, but then i told my mom about it and she said that there were a few boys named that at her school- she works in an inner city school- and that most people would only think of the cologne or aftershave or whatever it is. That kind of deterred me, especially because since then I have met two Aramises. I like the literary connection though, and I still like the sound of the name a lot.

There is an episode of Friends where Joey has a temp job working as a department store cologne spritzer, where you offer customers a squirt of whatever the newest scent is. I just hear Joey in my head saying, "Aramis? Aramis? Aramis?"

It's utterly gorgeous. I find it very handsome and elegant, and it's the name of a musketeer. Everyone loves a musketeer :-)

Isn't Aramis a brand of aftershave?

I have never heard of this name before, but I think I actually like it. Alot!
