I don't care for Veda. It's not horrible though, I just don't like it. But I do like:

Veda is nmsaa, but I do like Leona, Leonie, Iona (very pretty), Ione, Leora (I really like this), and Lorna. Lura is ok but I prefer Allura or Alura.

I don't care for Veda. I think of Velvetta Cheese (or is it spelled Velveta?). From the other names, I like Lorna.

Anyway I like Leona. I also know a girl named Signe but I think it would be hard for people to know the right pronounciation.

Veda is an interesting name (I have it on my list) but I would never use it because of the Darth Vada / My Girl associations

I'm not a huge fan of Veda, but I don't hate it either. I suppose it all depends on a mn or ln to me. I do like the name Leona, and all of the other names are okay, except Lura. It reminds me of "lurid," not the best association.

Please don't take this the wrong way - I'm totally not trying to be mean or rude but when I first read the name I thought "Darth Vader" since all the Star Wars ads are all over the place these days.
