Aidan is quite popular as a child's name. Look it up on the popularity lists.
Also, I do quite a bit of scrapbooking and while reading the magazines, MANY people have sons and daughters named Aidan. Its getting to be very trendy. And I had a friend whose older brother just named his son Aidan.
