I've never known a Candace / Candy personally.
Something about the name is just not my style; I think it's the spelling, with the -dace prn dus. If it were a new name I would respell it Candis. I much prefer Candida though.
If my name was Candace, I think I'd either change the spelling, or I would just go by Candace. Candy is too silly.
Possibilities (none great, but depends on the person):
Canda
Canna
Deedee as nick for Candy
Dacie
Cassie / Cass
- chazda
