Re: Arkansas BA's [Unusual Names again]
in reply to a message by Sabrina Fair
You had surgery today? Hope you feel better. :)
Devon, Schuyler, Floy, Chandler + Jamison
*I'm not a fan of unisex names on girls, in general. But what's a Floy? :-/ The others are actually tolerable in comparison. And Devon's become sort of a GP for me--I have a friend, that's a girl, named Devon now, whom I work with. She's in her mid-20's (and very sweet), and said she hated growing up with this name because she was constantly teased about it being a "boy's" name. :(
GIRLS
Ridglee Dawn - That's horrible
Cayenne Nell - Nell is nice, but Cayenne is a type of pepper :-/
Channing Benae - Channing is a surname, and Benae is just like Benet (as in JonBenet Ramsey). Tacky all the way, imo
Brinkley Noel - I don't like No-ell (I do like Noel for a boy, though) but it's MUCH better than Brinkley. As in Christie or David?
Harper Edison - Way too masculine, but it'd be a nice combo on a boy
Riplee Renee - No, that's a horrible fn!
Brightyn McKenzie [Mom: Dakota] - I dislike all of those, too
Piper Daily - It looks like Daily Paper. :b Piper is ok, but Daily??
Heydi Ayiela - Sounds like Heidi or Haiti. Either way, the whole combo is a nightmare to spell/pronounce.
Emeri Grace - Looks almost like Emeril. I love Emory for a boy, though.
Nevaeh Marie - Most people here know how the majority of us feel about Nevaeh. :-/
Cadence Noel - Very word-namey and I dislike both.
Anniston Leah - Jennifer Aniston is an actress. Using her ln and making the beginning into Ann- does not a girls' fn make!
Sierra Dawn - word-namey, but a little better than some of the above, at least
Coccaina Cent - Wow, talk about NOT giving a kid a fighting chance.

Blyss - Again with the misspelled word names...drives me nuts
Jasmine Aileen - It's funny how when I see a somewhat "normal" combo amidst all this craziness, whether I like the names or not...it's just so refreshing. :)
Oceania - um, no (but it could be worse)
Blakelyn Gayle - I abhor made up -lyn names. Gayle is nice.
BOYS
Cleveland - ok
Dakota Jade - too unisex of a combo, and I'm not a fan of either name
River McCade [Sibling: London] - I was just thinking 'Sabrina would love this sibset' LOL. I do like River, btw.
Lysander Venegas - LOVE Lysander
Scout - Please leave for a dog or a nn
Unique Alexander - Using the name Unique is NOT unique.
Roman McGuire - cool
Canaan Brock - This is the 3rd time I've seen Canaan/Kanaan today. My best friend used to love this name, but now she's over it so I have no sentimentality towards it anymore. :b Brock is ok, though.

"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?" - Ernest Gaines
