Re: Sapphira?
I think it's really beautiful, in theory, but it'll sound fancyish and pretentious and weird if I meet someone named that. Especially if it's a really normal person. It just doesn't work then. Just with someone really beautiful and fancy and all that. For a nickname Saff or Saffy is the one I'd expect to be used. Or maybe Firey or something. I really don't know. And I really don't think it'll be mispronounced - and if so, mispronounced by who? I mean, if she says "My name is Sapphira" and pronounces it a certain way, people aren't going to say it some other way. I think. Unless they mishear.
