Re: Jasmine

As with most floral names on people, I find Jasmine rather diminutive and tawdry. The trend of using floral names, especially the popular ones like Lily and Violet, in my opinion, will seem very dated to the 2000s and 2010s (i.e. they’ll seem “Grandma” in less than half a century). That said, the floral names are still better than most modern names I hear. I’d choose Elizabeth as a middle name for Jasmine, to give the combination both gravitas and a more serious alternative adult name.
I have a relative named Yasmin Sophia who is slightly older than my parents.
