Re: Perseverance
It's beautiful, but I think it would be confusing for many. I know quite a few people who struggle with this word - I guess in a way it's kind of archaic and they prefer "persistence". I've heard people say it "per-suh-VEER-ince", "per-SEV-er-ance", and even like "pruh-ZUR-vance". But still, I like it. I like unusual virtue names and even some neo-virtue names, like Reverie, Journey, True and that sort of thing.
More "Classic" virtue names I like:Mercy
Grace
Honor, Honora
Faith
Hope
Charity
Patience
Prudence
Felicity?
Temperance
Merit
Constance
Joy
Amity in theory (it's not as pretty in my accent)
Blythe
Harmony (though I find this one more dark and ironic for some reason - most virtue names have a bitter ironic edge to them, but for whatever reason Harmony is the queen of this)Unity in theory
Verity in theory
