I like this name for the mythological/tragic reference, unfortunately where I am from it is also the name of a car repair/servicing chain! They even have a catchy jingle about "the Midas touch".
Well, I like that clumsy dichotomy of mythology and garages, but unfortunately it makes the name pretty unusable around here! At least for a person.
I've never met a Midas, but I have met a Prometheus.
