I don't like the double V, it just looks like a W. It's fine to spell it Eva. Some people would guess EE-va but you'd correct them once and it would be fine. If you look at the 12 pronunciations for Eva on this site, there is only one with "ee" and 11 with something like "eh".
Evi is a pretty good nickname. (Evi and not Evie, because Evie definitely reads as EE-vie).
