It's gorgeous in French, but not usable outside of Francophone areas, unfortunately. A lot of people would likely butcher it as mir-AYL or something. :-(
The Italian variant Mirella would likely be easier to use, instead. And among Hispanic / Latino communities, Mireya is somewhat popular.
My personal favorite variant is actually the original Occitan, Mireio; but that one's an even taller order than Mireille.
