But I like both! I like Amelie, but it does seem very much more French to me so I wouldn't use it personally. They're pronounced so differently that I have trouble comparing them evenly. I feel like it might come down to if one leans toward liking the English or French forms of names in general. That said, it still feels very different than, say, comparing Sylvia and Sylvie because more of the sounds change.
