I’ve been thinking about Halcyone a lot lately. Well the word halcyon, and then naturally the name too. Peaceful, tranquil. Like a sunset on the horizon at sea. I like the Halcyon / Halcyone variants best. Alcyone looks a bit like a creative spelling of Alison.

When I see it written, or in my head or something, it seems too much, too difficult, unusable. But if I encountered it in real life I’m sure it would be fine. It is beautiful.
