I adore the name May. It was my first name love and I'd still use it in a heartbeat.
I do think it's a bit tacky when tacked on to another name but on it's own, it's lovely.
Different spellings do give me different imagery. May is sweet and soft pink. Mae is a bit spunkier. Mei is nice and makes me think of silk.
