Jk, I can see the appeal. I think it's only slightly "uglier" than Berlin and Birch. It's got that same burly vibe and sounds like a place/nature name.
Birgen also reminds me of birkenstocks.
The biggest drawback is the famous concentration camp, which non-German/Dutch/Swedish/other? speakers might think of...but that's a big drawback.
