Re: Claire, Rachel, Naomi

Claire is easily my favorite as well. I haven't met too many Rachels, and the few I have been nice enough.
Judith: I, too, love how it sounds with Miriam. That said, my Uncle's wife is Judith nn Judy. She is not a nice person and is bananas to boot.
I've never thought about Naomi and mayonnaise, but I do know I prefer the Hebrew pronunciation of ny-oh-me to nay-oh-mee, and everyone would pronounce it the second way.
I've also suggested Therese and Nina to my husband, neither appeal to him. And of course the more unusual names I like - Liat, Lior, Magda - completely out.
It will be interesting to see what we end up using, should we end up having another child.
