Re: Marley
I know - I was traumatised when I discovered what Mahala means! My old Baybee Nayms book had said that it meant "tenderness", which was totally incorrect. I think I cried! Lol.I don't think Marley sounds particularly feminine - there's lots of boys' names ending in 'ee' sounds (Stanley, Rodney etc).I don't hold to the idea that boys' names sound 'strong' and girls' names sound 'weak', so of course I don't think it's too 'strong' for a girl. I just don't think it sounds like a girl's name - if anything it sounds like a place or a surname rather than a first name at all lol. If it has to be a first name, I'd put it on a boy.I generally don't like many surnamey names so it's not really surprising that this one doesn't appeal to me.:-)
