I believe that Django is a derivative of the Santeria devil (Shango).Not necessarily, though if you have some reasons for this suspicion, I'd love to hear them! :D The name appears to be of unknown origin, though some theories of its origins have been put forward.They've discussed it on the Name Facts board before:
