Re: Newborn twins

Silas is one of those familiar names because of literature but I've never actually met one. So I dunno. I get a country-bumpkin impression - Silas belongs on a tractor but not in an academic library.
Annabelle in English is over-ornate. It's a bit ornate whatever you do to it, but the fake French -le does it no favours. Annabel is preferable. Cleaner-looking, more lively and pretty rather than over-dressed. I could see Annabel as a high achiever, but Annabelle would need (and want!) a rich spouse.
