I'm definitely not swayed by a celebrity! I've also become less enamored of a name due to someone famous. I'm most likely not swayed by a character on TV or the movies and haven't ever been since my sister, Lisa, was named after a popular TV character. Our mother had no idea how popular the name had become and I've been turned off that sort of thing ever since. Having said that, I can be swayed by a literary character, especially if it's a classic book where the name isn't likely to take off in popularity. Ditto with famous historical figures (i.e., Mother Teresa).
