Fletcher is a nice enough name. A friend of mine recently named her son Fletcher and it seems to suit them both. I could definitely see this working in a book.
When I imagine this boy he is playing in a creek, no shirt, no shoes, freckles on his face and a little tan and a little dirt! He is a lively inquisitive boy.
I also could see this as a frat boy, a college boy who likes to party.
Could carry on to adulthood where he is a family man. Wears a suit everyday but maybe wishes he had a different lifestyle, kind of conflicted.
An older gentleman who lives a life of routine. Sits on the same bench at the same time everyday. Watches traffic and says hello to the same people everyday. People appreciate his kindness.
Not sure what genre exactly but nothing too serious. Would absolutely see this in a children's book.
