Yes. I have a second cousin
Colm ("column"). It doesn't sound so out of place over there (in
Ireland). But I've always known that pronunciation wouldn't travel well, at least where I live.
Ah, well. :-)
I don't mean to say that
Malcolm would also be pronounced that way.
Malcolm is still, "MAL-cum."
