I kinda like
Everard, even though it doesn't fit my style at all. Sometimes I think it's really cool; other times I think of an aristocratic guy. It sounds usable to me. I don't know why it's never been that common: after all,
Bernard and
Leonard are well known. (My theory is that it's because those two names have common nicknames.
Everard does not.)
I do know two guys named
Everett (a surname derived from
Everard), as well as a guy named
Eberardo. But it would be really cool to meet an
Everard.
