You know what? Gideon totally grew on me over the last six months or so as well! It's a great name, I just worry about the potential for "Giddy" as a nickname.
I don't usually play around with combos, but I'd pair it with something one or two syllables and straightforward.

Yeah, I don't really like the nickname Giddy either. I think that's why I like the name better in the middle name spot.
